Carl joined National Youth Orchestra of GB and the National Youth Jazz Orchestra of GB in the 1980s playing under musicians such as Rostropovich Lutaslawski and Sir Simon Rattle and meeting AlAnd working with many acclaimed artists such as the rapper Ice Cube and the Duke Ellington Big Band in New York At Purcell School of Music Carl had his soli concert debut at the QEH london touring Italy and Russia under Conductor Benjamin Zander.
